Church Events Highlights

7th Pastoral Anniversary

IMG_9228_edited.jpg

Pastor and Elect Lady Boyd were escorted by
Brother and Sister Fincher.

The 2024 Pastoral Anniversary can be summed up in one word "REVIVAL".  God and the Holy Spirit was present in every service and each speaker's message, from Pre-Pastoral Services, Elect Lady Appreciation Night, and the Climax of the 7th Pastoral Anniversary, were encouraging, not just for the leaders, but all that were present.

The celebration started with two pre-Anniversary services and the guest speakers were, Elder Alvin Holsey (Trinity Temple COGIC) and Elder Daniel Gant (Mason Chapel COGIC).   Our Elect Lady Appreciation service speaker was truly a God assignment given to Elect Lady Yvette Robinson (House of Mercy Ministries COGIC) and it concluded with showering our Elect Lady with love and hugs.  The culmination of this great celebration was Sunday July 21, 2024 with the dynamic Young Preacher from Old Time Way COGIC, Elder Gregory Shields, our Jurisdictional Evangelism President.

Our Leaders shared it was the best one yet, in reference to their Anniversary Celebration.

Thank You Friendly for all you do for our leaders.  Also, to all the Augusta District, NG2nd Jurisdiction, family, friends, and guest who made this event a gift of love and support to our Leaders, we thank God for you and may God shower each of you with blessings.

2024 High School Graduates

(From Left to Right) Caleb Jackson, Bryson McGhee, & Sinaya Key

The Progressive Education Committee (PEC) honored our graduates and k-12th grade students for their accomplishments for the 2023-2024 school year on Youth Sunday, July 14, 2024.  This year's theme scripture is, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." Proverbs 16:3.

Caleb Jackson is a graduate from Lakeside High School and will be attending Kennesaw State University in Atlanta in the fall.  He plans to pursue a career in Mechanical Engineering.

Bryson McGhee is a graduate of A.R. Johnson Magnet School and will be attending Augusta Technical College in Augusta this fall.  He plans to pursue a career in Law Enforcement.

Sinaya Key is a graduate of Richmond County Technical Career Magnet School and will continue pursuing her career study in the Radiology Program at Augusta Technical College to become a Sonographer.

We salute the graduates and their Parents and Grandparents for a job well done.

2024 Youth Conference

GLOW UP AND SHINE!!!  was our theme this year for our Annual Youth Program.  The Coordinator, Missionary Tara Wheat, along with our Youth Leaders and Workers did a fantastic job of putting together an event that was all about our Youth receiving teaching, and a platform to share and be heard.

Throughout this past year our Youth have been visiting some of the Youth Panel discussions and programs from our Churches across the Jurisdiction.  We were able to work together and learn and grow through each experience and bring back ideas for this year's event.  We also invited other Youth Leaders from various churches to facilitate and be panel guest at this year's conference.

We had Pastor Ann Blair from Greater Works Evangelist Ministries who not only facilitated Thursday and Friday with our Sunshiners, but she did a training session with the Workers and overview with the Parents.
